Q. |
How do you determine the cost of boulders? |
| |
|
A. |
KRC Rock determines the cost of boulders by volume or by weight. To calculate the costs by volume measure the length, width, and height of each boulder. The boulders are measured in 1/2 foot increments. These measurements are applied to a CUBE CHART to obtain the cubic volume of the boulder. The cubes on the chart equal one tenth of a cubic foot based on a "jelly bean" like shape. By using this process we reduce the possibility of breaks in boulders and save you, the customer time. |

Q. |
How much gravel do I need? |
| |
|
A. |
In order to determine how much gravel is required for a project all we will need is some very simple measurements. Measure the length and the width of the area to be covered. This provides us with the square footage. Next we need to know how deep to fill the prepared area. *Important note, the size of the gravel will effect how deep the area will need to be. We also recommend a blocker to prevent weeds. |

| |
|
A. |
The amount of flagstone you will need for your project has a few different variables to it, to start off we need to know how may square feet you have, this is easy to determine take the length and multiply it by the width. Now what is the thickness of the flagstone you are using? This will determine the amount of square footage per ton. *Important note thickness of flagstone affects the square footage yield.
